On Saturday Julu 22, 2017, the Calhoun County Bass Club held its annual Athens Homecoming Bike Giveaway. This is always a fun event and people turn out in huge numbers for a chance to win a bike.
The Calhoun County Bass Club would like to thank all of our sponsors for donating a bike to be given away to a lucky child. We could not hold this event without your generosity and dedication. On behalf of all of the lucky winners today we would like to say a great big THANK YOU for you support! We hope to see you all back next year.
Our club has been operating since 1989. Although we are a competitive bass fishing club and our main focus is on fishing, we do involve our club in many community activities such as our annual "Take A Kid fishing" event on Goguac Lake, Battle creek, MI. We are always looking for new members and it is not a requirement that you own a boat.
We are sanctioned by B.A.S.S and Michigan B.A.S.S. Nation. The top 8 finisher's for the season will receive some compensation from the club to assist with entry fees associated with the State Championship. Those who place in the State Championship have the opportunity to advance to Regional and Divisional event's. The road to the Bassmaster Classic starts here!
The mission of the Calhoun County Bass Club is to bring together people interested in the sport of bass fishing.
Calhoun County Bass Club will carry this mission by actively pursuing the following objectives
-Exchanging ideas and experiences related to bass fishing
- Learning and teaching as much as possible about bass fishing through the exchange of ideas, seminars, and tournaments
-Preserving and enhancing the sport of bass fishing through conservation efforts and the mentoring of today’s youth
